About Steam Engine

In , I got into rebuilding. I searched for an online coil wrapping calculator, but all I could find was spreadsheets and Ohm's law calculators. I realized the Internet had a hole in it, which I decided to fill. Thus, the Steam Engine was created.

The tool was initially called vape calc due to a lack of imagination. Within the first month, the name was changed to Steam Engine.

Author of bugs and glitches

The Steam Engine is built and stoked by Norwegian vaping code monkey Lars Simonsen. You can reach me at my first name dot my last name at gmail dot com. If you write to me in English or Norwegian I probably won't have to use Google Translate in order to understand you.

Thanks to Ben Davis for designing the logo and helping me out with the layout.

Got a stuck atomizer? Inspired by the notoriously complicated Kayfun 4, I designed a tank tool that can help you with that. With this pocket-friendly tool you can unscrew the tank section that you want to open, without making a juicy mess all over your desk.

Safety – please vape responsibly

There are some dangers to Litihum ion batteries. The same goes for nicotine. Please inform yourself on battery safety and nicotine safety before you dive into rebuilding and DIY.

After you have made a coil, always measure the resistance before you use it. Also be conscious about the limitations of your batteries. Double check your calculations using different tools.

Concentrated nicotine can be lethal. Take the necessary precautions, and again, double check your calculations using other tools.
